In Julio’s words

Our most recent addition…

My name is Julio and I am 21 years old. I am currently a student in X Community College in X. My mayor is Nursing and  my GPA is 2.9. I am what many of you call us “a dreamer”.  I came to the United States when I was 15 years old.  My parents had to sell everything they had in order to seek medical treatment after I was in a car accident. My dream is to become a Nurse Practitioner and serve under-served communities around the DC metro area. I want to be able to get my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. If the DREAM Act is approved, I want to be a loving and caring nurse that serves all the people that are in need regardless of race, sex, or religious denomination. I want to serve the underprivileged communities and show them that there are actually people out there that are able to care about them and understand their struggles. I want to show them that if I was able to become someone in life they can also succeed in life. I guess that’s why they call us dreamers because even though we have to struggle with all the several roadblocks that we encounter in our path toward getting an education we outcome them and succeed. I now encourage any person that is willing to help us achieve our dreams to call their senator and representative so that people like my can achieve their dream and become an integral and productive part of the American society.

Please let us achieve our dreams, we promise that we won’t let you guys down.
