In Cindy’s words…

Here’s Cindy’s story:

I came in the United States at the age of 12 and went to school for 5 years. I just graduated from High School and I’m trying to find a way to continue my education. Since the ninth grade, I have thought about how I was going to attend college but as the years pass, it appears less and less possible.  Even though I have maintained an 85 grade point average all four years and received many awards, I was not able to continue my education.   Now I’m only 17 years old and stay at home trying to find something to do because I can’t continue my education.  I hope that the DREAM Act passes because there are so many students like me who would benefit from it and contribute to the larger society.
